The Fifth Asia-Pacific Workshop on Widegap Semiconductors (APWS-2011) will be held at Toba Hotel International, Toba, Japan, on May 22 (Sun) - 26 (Thu), 2011, in a series of biennial workshops following those held in Awajishima (Japan, 2003), Hsinchu (Taiwan, 2005), Jeonju (Korea, 2007) and Zhang Jia Jie (China, 2009). Attendants not only from the original Asian and Pacific areas but also from countries worldwide will be welcomed, for stimulating discussions among researchers in globally developed widegap semiconductor fields.
